is for a maximum of 10 people occupying 4 bedrooms – a master bedroom with a queen-size bed with space for a cot or a foldaway bed (provided if requested); a twin room with two single beds which could be put together to make a large double; and two rooms with three full size beds, one of which is a bunk in each of these rooms. The bedrooms are individually heated and each one has a basin with hot & cold water. Doonas and all linen and towels are supplied. There is also a highchair available.
At the ground floor entry is a large ski room with lots of room to leave your luggage if you would like to ski early on arrival, or late on departure; a full size drying room, and a laundry. The ski room also contains an interesting display of personal memorabilia of our more than 40 years in Falls Creek.
The main lounge on the second floor adjoins the bedrooms and is equipped with TV, VHS/DVD player and a CD player/radio, as well as an iPod dock. Off this lounge is a huge balcony with a fantastic mountain view, and an electric BBQ, picnic table and chairs. The kitchen is separate and fully equipped with everything you have at home – microwave, dishwasher, blender, sandwich toaster, etc. The pantry is stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, flour and spices. On the third floor is another lounge with a newly installed 'Home Theatre"system with TV, DVD and Blu-ray disc player,VCR and i-Pod dock, plus a library of DVD’s and Videos., including some vintage selections! During the summers of 2008 and 2009, the bathrooms and all the bedrooms have been double glazed, and electric panel heaters installed to add to the comfort of your stay at Red Onion. Our double glazing program for the whole chalet will be completed for season 2010.
We appreciate your strict observance of our "No Smoking" policy in all internal areas of the chalet. Red Onion is fully fire safety equipped, with linked smoke detectors throughout.
